Ohhh yeah. The new Predators trailer is online and below this post. If you were privy to Robert Rodriguez’s sneak peek then the trailer may look very familiar. This movie flew under the radar for a while and at SXSW surfaced to the glee of anyone who enjoyed the first one. The movie surprisingly is a reboot of the entire franchise forgetting everything that happened subsequent to the first films’ ending credits. This means no Danny Glover and no intergalactic wrestling matches with other aliens. Along with Topher Grace and Lawrence Fishburn; the one and only- Danny Trejo extends his killing skills. Trejo will play Cuchillo and most likely recede to the background as a foreign guide or mercenary who knows these jungles more than you. Also joining the cast is the actor with the coolest long name ever. Mahershalalhashbaz Ali will be playing Mombasa and most likely be the African counterpart to Trejos guide character. Which one will die first – my guess is Trejo but I could be wrong. This movie looks awesome despite the fact I am 99% sure I know what will happen 80% of the movie. The predictability could be waived for the promise of tough looking actors shooting with reckless abandon into dense foliage.  

Give me new looking monsters.
Give me giant guns.
Give me Danny T. and I will be happy.
